Libraries
The nearest public library is Heathfield Library. East Sussex Libraries' mobile library calls at Bodle Street (Village Hall, 10:30–10:55) then Rushlake Green (Osborne House, 11:10–11:35) on alternate Wednesdays. The current timetable (PDF file) can be found here — look for week 2.
Local authorities
Three tiers of local authority are responsible for services in the Parish: East Sussex County Council, Wealden District Council and Warbleton Parish Council.

Sussex Safer Roads Partnership
The Sussex Safer Roads Partnership website shows details/locations of safety cameras and mobile speed cameras in Sussex together with up to date information on road safety–related issues, road improvement works and events/shows in and around Sussex. The website for Sussex Police's Operation Crackdown enables reporting of antisocial driving activities and any abandoned vehicles in the area.
Post Office
Rushlake Green Post Office at The Stores is open from 08:30-13:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. At other times the nearest Post Offices are in Heathfield (Budgens supermarket) and Hailsham (Co-op supermarket).
Public transport
The 355 bus service runs every two hours, Monday to Friday, between Heathfield and Battle via Rushlake Green. The buses used have low floor and wheelchair access. Timetable information can be found here.
Nearest railway stations are: Stonegate (Hastings line) where the service is run by Southeastern; Polegate (Eastbourne line) and Buxted (Uckfield line), both run by Southern.
Health services

Minor Injury Units. Walk–in clinics for cuts, sprains and other less serious injuries are based at the three Community Hospitals in the area: Crowborough Hospital, Lewes Victoria Hospital and Uckfield Community Hospital.

Household waste and recycling site
The nearest household waste and recycling site is off Burwash Road near to the Market. For a map and further details click here. Opening hours: April to end September 09:00-18:00 (Monday–Sunday); October to end March 08:00-16:00 (Monday–Saturday), 09:00-16:00 (Sunday).
Rushlake Green Village Life
The Village Life site aims to be an online meeting–place for individuals or groups in Rushlake Green and Warbleton to share activities, news and plans; make new contacts and encourage involvement.

Farmers' Markets
The nearest farmers' markets take place in Uckfield and Lewes (1st Saturday of the month); Hailsham and Tunbridge Wells (2nd Saturday); Heathfield, Mayfield and Battle (3rd Saturday); Crowborough and Tunbridge Wells (4th Saturday).

The parish lies within the Heathfield East Ward of the Bexhill and Battle parliamentary constituency. The sitting MP is Gregory Barker.

Anchor Staying Put
This organization, based in Wealden District undertakes minor repairs to doors, windows, gates, fences, etc. for elderly or disabled residents wishing to remain in their own homes. Anchor Staying Put can be contacted at 1st Floor, 32-33 Vicarage Fields, Hailsham, BN27 1BG. Tel. 01323 442556.
Utilities
Electricity. The network is managed by EDF. The emergencies and power cuts telephone number is 0800 7838866.
Water. South East Water is the local supplier of water. They can be contacted here. or telephone 0845 301 0845 (Monday–Friday 08:00-19:00, Saturday 08:00-13:00. Out of hours emergency number: 0845 602 1724.
Sewerage. When it comes into operation in Spring 2010 Southern Water will be responsible for sewage disposal for those properties connected to the Rushlake Green public sewer.
Telephone and Broadband. The Rushlake Green telephone exchange is situated towards the northern end of Middle Lane. Broadband has been available on the exchange since November 2004. There is currently no LLU (Local Loop Unbundling).
Mobile phone coverage. Coverage is highly variable and frequently poor across all networks throughout the area. There is no 3G coverage. Links to individual operators' coverage maps can be found here.
Gas. There is no mains gas supply available.
